Authors who publish with Food and Nutrition Insights (FNI) agree to the following terms:

  1. Copyright Retention: Authors retain copyright to their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. The work will be licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC-BY), which allows others to share, copy, and redistribute the material in any medium or format, with proper attribution to the original authors and the first publication in this journal.

  2. Additional Distribution: Authors are free to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with acknowledgment of its initial publication in Food and Nutrition Insights (FNI).

  3. Pre- and Post-Submission Posting: Authors are encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on personal websites) both before and during the submission process. This can foster productive academic exchanges and lead to increased citations of the published work.
