Author Guidelines

Agricultural Research Reports (ARR) is an open-access, peer-reviewed international journal. Following a thorough review process (typically completed within two weeks), accepted manuscripts will be designated as "In Press" before their formal publication in the journal’s upcoming issue. Authors are requested to adhere to the following guidelines when submitting their work.

Copyright

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the work is original, has not been previously published (except as an abstract, part of a published lecture, or thesis), and is not under review elsewhere. Publications in Agricultural Research Reports are freely accessible, and users are permitted to copy, distribute, transmit, and adapt the work, provided proper credit is given to the original source.

Plagiarism Policy

Agricultural Research Reports follows plagiarism guidelines based on the standards set by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. The journal permits a maximum of 19% similarity in submitted manuscripts. Authors are encouraged to submit a Turnitin plagiarism report along with their submission to ensure compliance with this policy.

Article Submission

To streamline the review process, authors must ensure that their manuscripts conform to the journal’s formatting guidelines before submission and during revisions. Manuscripts should include full author names, a designated corresponding author, an abstract, and keywords. Abstracts should exclude references, abbreviations, and measurements unless essential. The abstract must provide a brief introduction, background context, principal conclusions, and 2–3 sentences placing the key findings within the broader scientific domain.

Authorship

The contributions of all authors must be explicitly defined. Authors should be credited in accordance with the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Each author is responsible for the specific sections they have contributed to and must have full confidence in the integrity of the entire manuscript. The journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines on authorship disputes.

Minimum Requirements for Authorship

Individuals listed as authors must meet the following criteria:

  • Significant contributions to the conception, design, data acquisition, or data analysis and interpretation.

  • Final approval of the manuscript version to be published.

Merely acquiring funding, collecting data, or providing general supervision does not qualify for authorship.

Co-author Contributions

Authors are encouraged to provide a statement detailing the contributions of each co-author. The journal allows up to two co-authors to be credited equally for the work described. These contributions will be published in the "Author Contributions" section. Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately.

Acknowledgments

Individuals who have provided technical support, writing assistance, or general administrative supervision but do not meet authorship criteria should be listed in the Acknowledgments section. Financial and material support must also be acknowledged. For large group contributions, a heading like "Participating Investigators" may be used. All individuals mentioned must provide written consent to be acknowledged in the manuscript.

Suggesting Reviewers

To expedite the review process, authors are encouraged to suggest at least three potential reviewers, providing their names and email addresses. However, the editorial team is not obligated to use these recommendations. Failure to suggest potential reviewers may result in delays, particularly for specialized research topics.
