Publication Fee
As an open-access journal, Sustainable Pest Management and Biodiversity Conservation is committed to ensuring that high-quality research is freely accessible to everyone. We aim to foster a global exchange of knowledge in both pest management and biodiversity conservation. To sustain our open-access model and uphold rigorous editorial and peer-review standards, we have established the following publication fee policies.
Option 1: Article Processing Charge (APC)
To cover the costs of publication, Sustainable Pest Management and Biodiversity Conservation charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of PKR 25,000 (USD 100) for accepted manuscripts. This fee will be applicable to manuscripts accepted on or after 30 April 2026. The APC helps support the journal’s operations, including editorial management, peer-review processing, article formatting, and ensuring unrestricted access to published research.
The APC is only applicable to articles that have been accepted following a thorough peer-review process. The payment of the APC does not influence editorial decisions, ensuring the impartiality and integrity of the review process.
We believe in transparency and fairness, and authors will receive a detailed breakdown of the services covered by the APC. For any questions regarding the APC or if you require assistance, please contact our editorial office.
Option 2: Fee Waiver for Authors
To promote inclusivity and encourage submissions from underrepresented regions, early-career researchers, and those facing financial hardships, Sustainable Pest Management and Biodiversity Conservation offers partial or full waivers of the APC. Authors from low-income and lower-middle-income countries, as classified by the World Bank, may request a waiver or discount during the manuscript submission process.
Waiver requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis, ensuring fairness while also upholding the journal’s sustainability and high standards of publication.
Option 3: No Article Processing Fee (APC-Free Policy)
For selected special issues, invited papers, or manuscripts funded by specific grants that include publication costs, Sustainable Pest Management and Biodiversity Conservation may waive APCs entirely. These manuscripts will undergo the same rigorous peer-review process and adhere to the same high standards as all other submissions.
Commitment to Accessibility
Our publication fee policy reflects our dedication to inclusivity and the dissemination of knowledge in both pest management and biodiversity conservation. By balancing financial sustainability with equitable access, we aim to ensure that researchers from diverse backgrounds can publish their work without undue financial burdens.
