Peer Review Policy

Sustainable Pest Management and Biodiversity Conservation utilizes a robust online system for article submission, review, and tracking to ensure high-quality standards and expedite the review process. The journal offers a rapid review period of approximately 4-6 weeks, followed by the publication of accepted research articles.

Manuscripts submitted to Sustainable Pest Management and Biodiversity Conservation undergo a rigorous peer-review process and are expected to demonstrate the potential to make meaningful contributions to the fields of pest management and biodiversity conservation. Submissions may cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to entomology, plant protection, agricultural entomology, honeybee keeping, sericulture, plant pathology, zoology, forest entomology, invasive species management, ecological pest control, sustainable pest management strategies, and the conservation of biodiversity in agroecosystems, forests, forages, and rangelands. Even modest contributions that advance knowledge in these areas are highly valued and serve as the primary focus for reviewers and editors during the review process.

The review process is designed to ensure a balance between quality and efficiency. After passing initial checks, the manuscript is forwarded to the Editor-In-Chief, who evaluates its alignment with the journal’s scope and quality standards. Suitable manuscripts are sent to at least two subject matter experts for peer review via a single-blind process. The corresponding author is promptly informed of the editorial decision via email. Rejected manuscripts may be resubmitted in a revised form, provided the revisions address the feedback provided by reviewers and editors.

Authors are required to include a detailed, point-by-point response to the reviewers' comments when submitting revised manuscripts, clearly outlining the changes made. Depending on the extent of the revisions, the manuscript may be re-evaluated by the original reviewers or new referees.

Upon resolving all editorial and peer-review concerns, the manuscript is formally accepted for publication. Authors receive proofs of their manuscript before publication, where only typographical and minor formatting errors may be corrected. All corrections must be approved by the production team. The journal reserves the right to make final decisions regarding matters of style, formatting, and the size of figures to ensure consistency with the journal's standards.
